Newfoundland and Labrador continues to hold fast amidst rising COVID caseloads in other provinces.
Health officials here reported one new travel-related case over the weekend—a man in his 40s in the Central Health region.
As a result, anyone who was on Air Canada Flight 8996 from Halifax to St. John’s last Thursday is asked to get a test.
Yesterday’s case is just the third in the province in the last 10 days, and no one is in hospital with the virus.
There are now two active cases in Newfoundland and Labrador—the other being in the Eastern Health region. That’s a far cry from a month ago, when there 262 actives cases in the province.
Today’s update will be delivered by news release, with the next live briefing scheduled for Wednesday.
