ST. JOHN’S, N.L. —

There are no new COVID-19 cases to report in Newfoundland and Labrador according to the latest provincial government update issued Saturday afternoon.

This news coincides with the province’s first day back in Alert Level 2, following a dramatic decline in the number of active cases of COVID-19 in previous weeks. Saturday marked the third day in a row of no new cases.

According to the government release, there were no new recoveries, leaving one active case of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador. That person is not in a hospital.

There were 200 new test results reported since Friday’s update, bringing the total number of test completed up to 123,373.
