LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse said Monday it’s averaging 750 COVID-19 vaccinations per day, and things are running smoothly.
Patients are in and out of the clinic within 15 to 30 minutes and Mayo hasn’t had to cancel any patient vaccine appointments.
Nearly 25,000 shots have been administered at the La Crosse clinic and about 9,000 people have received their second shot as of Monday.
Gundersen Health System said Monday demand continues to exceed vaccine supply but expects to administer 3,000 doses this week.
Gundersen has given more than 20,000 first doses and more than 10,000 second doses system-wide.
Gundersen representatives say they will not be canceling any first-dose appointments this week at La Crosse and Onalaska locations.
Patients who had their first dose appointment canceled in recent weeks will be contacted and prioritized to reschedule.
