We’re looking for a corporate citizenship professional with a knack for distilling complex processes into highly efficient results while striking the right balance between big-picture thinking and small-detail accountabilities.
The Foundation Operations Senior Consultant will help ensure grants made through The Allstate Foundation are processed effectively and efficiently, that the Foundation and Social Innovation teams are well integrated across the enterprise, and that processes are established and executed to mitigate the time allocation to administration to enable greatest social impact.

You’ll be an integral part of the Foundation, social innovation and corporate brand team, working closely with people across the team and department to help support responsible funding decisions for our philanthropic priorities. The Senior Consultant will work closely with the Associate manager and is accountable for helping: support the team with organization and process development, support management of grants software vendor; maintaining grants database; creating online applications and related communication templates; querying and analyzing reports; ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements; and supporting team members and community partners through the grant cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Support:
⦁ Help develop, manage and evaluate grant-making processes for The Allstate Foundation and Allstate.
⦁ Help manage processing for select grant programs allocating $37 million to more than 3,000 nonprofits.
⦁ Ensure operational excellence.

Technology Expertise:
⦁ Help create dynamic grant applications and communications.
⦁ Understanding of data analytics.
⦁ Ability to help benchmark grants management software platforms to ensure technical resources are best in-class.

Measurement and Reporting:
⦁ Deliver accurate metrics for internal and external reporting.
⦁ Query and analyze reports and provide insights to support Foundation’s goals.

Communications:
⦁ Help prepare strategic internal and external communications to explain grant-making processes and report results.
⦁ Relationship and partnership management.
⦁ Ensure cross-functional collaboration within the team, across the enterprise and with external stakeholders.
⦁ Support nonprofit partners with technology and payment processing with exceptional customer service.
⦁ Help manage effective partnership with technology vendor.

Additionally, the Senior Consultant will be expected to help provide broad-based support for the corporate responsibility team as a whole, based on new and emerging priorities.

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience
⦁ 4-6 years of experience in a finance, accounting, operations or business or nonprofit administration role with communication responsibilities
⦁ Bachelor’s degree required, Business, Accounting or Finance degree preferred
⦁ Understanding of insurance and financial services preferred
⦁ Strong writer with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting to the most senior leadership
⦁ Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities
⦁ Ability to write for influence and produce strong content using creative/persuasive writing techniques

⦁ None required

⦁ Interpersonal and Team Skills: Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, with some experience leading work/project teams. Can easily establish new relationships, build rapport and effectively and positively influence others. When needed, can serve as a liaison between the department and other business areas or vendors. ⦁ Project Management: Ability to develop work plans that organize project work into discrete tasks, sequencing activities to achieve maximum efficiency. Able to adapt projects and programs based on stakeholder or business partner feedback.
⦁ Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Ability to anticipate operational/program issues and Identify preventative measures. Identifies, clarifies and resolves complex problems within own work area or team.
⦁ Business Acumen: Applies strong understanding of industry practices and integrates subject matter knowledge with planning, program and projects.

The minimum salary for this position is $64,700. The salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
